Visakhapatnam, July 1:

Social media is functioning effectively in the modern era, it is an effective medium said Dr. A. Narasimha Rao, Principal of AU College of Arts and Commerce. He participated in the closing ceremony of two-week hands on training & certificate course on Web Development training program organized under the Dr B.R.Ambedkar Chair of Andhra University on Tuesday and distributed certificates to the students.

On this occasion, Dr. A. Narasimha Rao emphasized that youth should be aware of rapidly changing technologies. He reminded that today's generation is living and progressing in an age dominated by technology. Programs like these help in acquiring and enhancing new knowledge, he added. He further stated that Andhra University is emerging as one of the top universities in the country.

Dr. K. Seetha Manikyam, Principal, Dr B.R.Ambedkar Law College suggested that students from their college should also be given opportunities to participate in such training programs. She appreciated the efforts of the Ambedkar Chair in conducting such beneficial programs for the youth.

Professor M. James Stephen Chair Professor, Dr B.R.Ambedkar Chair, Andhra University said that the program was designed and conducted to equip students with new skills. He noted that the training helped students grow with self-reliance while continuing their education.

He also mentioned that students who completed the two-week training have acquired the ability to independently design websites. Certificates were awarded to 55 students who successfully completed the training.
