Professor Meka James Stephen Featured as Keynote Speaker at NICE-TEAS 2025 

Professor Meka James Stephen, Chair Professor of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chair at Andhra University, distinguished scholar and social innovator, participated as a keynote speaker at the prestigious Springer International Conference, "Networking International Conference on Emerging Trends in Expert Applications and Security" (NICE-TEAS 2025) held at WSG University, Bydgoszcz, Poland. The conference brought together leading scholars, researchers, and industry experts from around the globe to deliberate on emerging trends in technology, security, and social applications.

During the event, Professor Meka delivered a compelling keynote address highlighting the groundbreaking research initiatives undertaken by the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chair, notably the flagship project titled “Empowering Underserved Communities through an AI-Powered Digital Literacy Platform”. This pioneering project aims to digitally uplift rural and marginalized populations by harnessing artificial intelligence to promote literacy and social inclusion. A prototype application developed as part of this initiative has been successfully implemented in five villages in Pendurthi Mandal, Visakhapatnam District. The project’s impact, evidenced through comprehensive field surveys and comparative analysis of pre and post-intervention data, demonstrated significant improvements in digital awareness, access, and community engagement.

Professor Stephen emphasized how technological interventions can serve as powerful tools for social upliftment, aligning with the ideals of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, focusing on social justice and equal opportunities for all marginalized groups.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to research and social innovation, Professor James Stephen Meka was honored with the "Global Research Excellence Award" during the prestigious Nexus Synergy Awards, 2025, Europe. The award ceremony, held on July 4th, celebrated his efforts in integrating technology with social needs to foster inclusive development. The renowned computer science educator Prof. E. Balagurusamy, former Vice-Chancellor of Anna University and former member of UPSC, who was also conferred the "Lifetime Achievement Award", adding prestige to the event.

The Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, expressed its appreciation for Professor Stephen’s efforts in promoting Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals on the global stage, enhancing the visibility of the Foundation’s mission.
