Prof. M. James Stephen, the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chair Professor at Andhra University, delivered two expert lectures on the theme “AI and Adaptive Learning in Inclusive Education” at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhubaneswar.

These sessions were part of the ongoing Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “AI and Adaptive Learning in Inclusive Classrooms,” being organized by the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management at IIT Bhubaneswar from 23rd to 27th June 2025. The FDP is aimed at empowering faculty members across disciplines with the knowledge and tools to integrate Artificial Intelligence into inclusive pedagogical practices.

In recognition of his substantial contributions and expertise in the domains of Artificial Intelligence and Inclusive Education, Prof. M. James Stephen was specially invited to deliver two thematic sessions. His lectures focused on the transformative potential of adaptive learning technologies in bridging educational gaps and promoting equity, especially for marginalized and differently-abled learners.

The sessions were well-received by the participating faculty, sparking insightful discussions on the application of AI tools for personalized learning, accessibility solutions, and fostering an inclusive digital learning ecosystem.

Prof. Stephen’s engagement at IIT Bhubaneswar reinforces his role as a thought leader in harnessing technological innovation for social justice and educational empowerment in line with the vision of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
